This famous singer was abandoned by her parents at the train station in China when she was young.
The responsibility of a parent is not easy that requires tremendous patience, understanding, care, and perseverance. Parents don’t just raise a mere human being but they are raising a world changer or in Filipino mantra, “Pag-asa ng Bayan.” But nowadays, child abandonment is very rampant and many children are becoming a victim.
This is exactly what happened to a famous singer who was left to a train station in China.
One girl named McKenzie Grace Walker was left at a train station in Hunan, China. At her young age, she had the opportunity to perform at various concerts at major theaters. Her father, Kim Walker, said that he saw her having a talent in imitating sounds around her like an alarm clock.
“It happened when we just arrived home from China. The alarm clock went off and McKenzie heard the alarm and walked over to the clock. The alarm was a rooster crowing. She really surprised us when she imitated the crowing sound with the right notes and pitch.”
Back in 2015, McKenzie Grace signed a contract with Mansion Entertainment where she was given a chance to sing a gospel song. Though she was a popular singer in America, she didn’t forget where she came from. As a result, she partnered with an international organization that aimed to help those with the same experience with her as an abandoned kid before.
Her parents also admitted that all she was doing was for her and it was destined for her. According to McKenzie’s favorite Bible verse in Jeremiah 29:11, “I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
