This is how Bill Gates wait just to eat his favorite burger.
In 2011, Bill Gates once said, “I can understand wanting to have millions of dollars, there’s a certain freedom, meaningful freedom, that comes with that. But once you get much beyond that, I have to tell you, it’s the same hamburger. Dick’s has not raised their prices enough.”
Bill Gates is an American business magnate, investor, author, philanthropist, and humanitarian. He is known to be the principal founder of Microsoft Corporation. He has been included in the Forbes list of the world’s wealthiest people since 1987 and held the Forbes title of the richest person in the world all from 1995 to July 2017. However, Gates was replaced by Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos on July 27, 2017, making him the second-richest person in the world.
Despite his wealth and popularity, Gates managed to live like a normal person. A former Microsoft employee, Mike Galos, spotted him while patiently waiting in a queue at Dick’s Drive-In in Seattle over the weekend. The caption of the photo reads:
“When you’re worth about USD100,000,000,000, run the largest charity in the history of the world and stand in line for a burger, fries, and Coke at Dick’s like the rest of us.”
I bet you guys were greatly surprised seeing a person with a net worth of $95.5 billion prefer a meal of merely $7.68, a burger that cost $3.40, fries for $1.90 and a can of Coke for $2.38.
“This is how really rich people behave unlike the gold toilet seat wannabe poser in the White House,” Galos added
“Bill’s not big on attention but is generally friendly and understands he’s a bit of a celebrity. I’ve chatted with him at parties before but on the street or in a restaurant I don’t know him well enough to go over and say hi,” Galos further said.
Bill Gates is also a regular customer of Burgermaster in Bellevue.
Indeed, money should not change the way we are and doesn’t let wealth turn us into a proud, self-important human.
