Meet the oldest gymnast in the world who stunned the crowd with her impressive routine at International German Gymnastics Festival 2017
Johanna Quaas, the 2018 oldest gymnast in the world, is a German gymnast boron in November 20, 1925. At an early age, she started gymnastics and appeared in her first competition in 1934. Quaas is a regular competitor in the amateur competition Landes-Seniorenspiele, staged in Saxony, Germany.
The 92-year-old gymnastic star is married to a gymnast coach Gerhard Quaas, with whom she has three daughters. On September 13, 2012, Quaas was announced to be receiving an entry in The Guinness Book of Records as the oldest gymnast in the world.
Despite his old age, she proves that she is still capable of delivering stunning gymnastic routine and amaze the audience. With her streaks of white hair, oval glasses, and wrinkled skin, you cannot refuse to lay eyes on her because she can easily conquer the floor with her amazing gymnastics routine.
In one of her competition, Quaas never failed to impress the audience and the whole world with her extraordinary moves and tricks. On the viral video, she is wearing her signature velvet green leotard and performed her routine on the parallel bar effortlessly.
The video was taken during the International German Gymnastics Festival in Berlin in June 2017 where she takes home the fourth place. Quaas said that she will keep going gymnastics until his last breath.
Never underestimate the elders now because they can do more than you could possibly imagine. At her age, we might be thinking that Quaas is frail and weak but look at her, she can carry her body and flex in a parallel bar effortlessly like a teenager.
