This bride wants her wedding planner arrested after discovering that her wedding cake is made from polystyrene foam.
Every couple wanted to be their wedding as special and perfect as possible. From the wedding planning to preparation, until the day itself, the couple wants to be completely informed on every detail. To spare themselves from the stress and worries, some hired a wedding planner to take charge of everything. However, one bride wants her wedding planner arrested after discovering something frustrating.
This particular bride wants her wedding planner to be arrested after she found out that her wedding cake was made from polystyrene foam covered in icing.
According to Shine Tamayo and her partner Jhon Chen, they paid a wedding planner 140,000 pesos (US$ 2,667.00) to supply all the food and decorations for their ceremony in Pasig City. The couple was confident that all their guest will have a comfortable and enjoyable time during the wedding. But it wasn’t the case.
Upon arrival at the hotel for the reception, they discovered that there was no food for the guests and the dessert is also a fruad. To provide something to eat for their hungry guests, they bought a takewaya from a nearby eatery.
What made it worst is when they sliced the cake as part of the reception program, they were shocked seeing a polystyrene and foam filling, not icing or a real cake. It made the bride broke in tears in front of her family and friends.
“The woman we paid to do the food has ruined my wedding. She’s a liar. She always asked me for money, and I always gave her what she needs because I wanted my wedding to be perfect,” the bride said.
“I will not accept sorry from her, an apology is not good enough, she needs to go to jail because she ruined my wedding.”
“I have never been so humiliated in all my life. This was supposed to be one of my most treasured memories for my entire life. Instead, it is the worst.”
The Pasig City Police Station officers confirmed that the wedding planner had been arrested on suspicion of Estafa and later released.
“The investigation into the wedding fraud is ongoing. The bride was very distressed by her cake and the food. We have confirmed that a large amount of money was paid for the service which was not delivered adequately. The provider, Miss Krissa Cananea, has been interviewed and we intend to take the case to a trial.”
