Deny it or not, life is not really easy and struggles came in like an unending wave. While some people have food on their table and clothes to wear, there are people who work hard to be able to eat at least twice a day. With that in mind, this man’s kindness to a stranger recently won the hearts of many after doing such tear-jerking act.
For those who have enough in life, our daily lives are somehow easy and chill. We woke up every day, check our phones for new feeds on our social media account while drinking coffee and eating breakfast. But for some, this is not the case. Some wake up every morning worrying where to get food or get some extra income. They don’t cant even drink coffee and start looking for money.
While this is the life of most of us have, those who are well-off didn’t realize that they’re actually blessed not to endure such difficulty and they often have many complaints that those who are struggling.
Recently, a man’s kindness to a stranger went trending on social media. This heartwarming and emotional Facebook post has been making its rounds in the Filipino online community. Many people got touched by the story and pondering how much more they could do with their lives.
In the post, he narrated his usual going-home routine, crossing the street with his headphones in his ears, not minding what’s happening around him. Suddenly, a stranger poked him and began to ask for help.
“Kuya baka may Php10 ka dagdag lang sana para pambili ng gatas ng anak ko!” With these words, the man immediately felt pity and sadness for this stranger’s situation.
“Hindi po ako masamang tao, Sir! Di ko po kayang gumawa ng masama lalong ayaw kong makulong kawawa pamilya ko,” the stranger added.
“Sir, di alam ng asawa ko ngayong araw namamalimos lang ako ngayon makapagdala lang gatas at pagkain ng baby namin, kaya lang naman naming magtiis dalawa sa asin at suka. Kawawa lang talaga mga bata.” On his palm is a meager 150 pesos that he has to fit for the entire needs of his family.
Hearing the story of the stranger, the kind man told the stranger that they would go inside the supermarket to buy food for their family.
“Wag ka magalala pinagtagpo tayo ng Dios ngayong araw, magkapatid tayo, ako bahala sayo! Di gaanong marami pera ko pero lika.”
Kuya Jeric couldn’t stop thanking this man’s kindness and the concerned he showed.
“Darating din ang panahon Sir, magkikita tayo ulit, ako naman manglilibre sa inyo!”
Every day, we heard ourselves complaining about things without realizing there are people who actually have more struggles than us. Instead of complaining, why not count or think the blessing we receive from God and thank Him for being so good to us.
