James A. Baldwin said, “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.” It’s no longer a secret that kids learn by watching the world around them, their elders in particular. Kids imitating their elders is very normal. However, a video of a ringbearer kissed a flower girl during a wedding ceremony brought so much laughter!
Last September 18, Alfred and Jam finally tied the knot and it was the happiest day of their lives. The groom and the bride look stunningly beautiful as well as the whole entourage, wearing pink colored gowns and blue suits. But one unusual act shocked everyone during the photoshoot outside the church.
A photographer named John Clegg shared on his Facebook page the picture of this two cute kids. According to the post, the wedding vows have just finished and it was time for the wedding entourage to pose for the wedding photos outside the church. As they lined up with the newlywed, the two kids were seen in front of the line.
The elders asked the two children to cover their eyes because the photo requires the newlywed to kiss. When the photographer shouted ‘kiss’, the couple did so. But no one was prepared for what will happen next.
Upon hearing the word ‘kiss’, the boy suddenly kissed his partner, the flower girl. Everyone got shocked and they all ended up laughing.
Though it’s just a harmless kiss, it shows how kids imitate the actions of the adults regardless if it’s wrong or right. For the elders, it’s a reminder to be extra careful with their actions especially when surrounded by children.
According to the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework, whether your child is very young or much older, he is still learning by observing your behavior.
