Recently, a couple went viral after their ‘against all floods’ story was shared on social media. The video of the wedding in Bulacan amidst flooding got the attention of everyone. The couple seems didn’t mind the bad weather or let the flood cancel their big day. It was also the day of the baptism of their youngest daughter.
Despite the lash of typhoon ‘Karding’ that was intensified by the southwest monsoon or hanging habagat, the couple named Jefferson and Jobel Delos Reyes pushed through their wedding last Saturday, August 11 at Santo Rosario Church in Hagonoy, Bulacan.
The church where they will tie the knot was penetrated by flood waters. So instead of walking on the red carpet, the bride walks on the flood water towards the altar.
On the video shared by one Facebook user named Bautista Bañarez Tere, it could be seen that the relatives and guests of the couple didn’t mind the situation as well. They even decided to go barefoot or take off their shoes because of the flood waters.
According to the groom, that day was also the baptism of their youngest daughter named Ayisha that’s why they decided to continue the ceremony.
While other netizens admired the couple, other expressed their opinions and reactions, blaming Bulacan. Some also expressed their concern about the possible sickness they can acquire from stepping into the flood water.
