The Florida couple who only met online discovered they were once preschool sweethearts 30 years ago. Fate really worked its way for them to cross paths again after 3 decades.
In 2012, Justin’s fiancee Adrianne Robert passed away. The tragedy left Pounders devastated which made him difficult to moved on. Eventually, he moved to Orlando and with his mom’s effort to find his love again.
“She would always pray every night for me to find someone that would make me happy,” said Justin.
As love find its way to Justin, he joined match.com where he met Amy Giberson.
Upon seeing Amy’s photo, the 33-year-old bachelor was instantly given a sight on her.
“She just had this great energy, you could tell. I can’t explain it, but I had to get to know this girl.”
They got the shock of their lives when they finally realized they were indeed preschool sweethearts in St. Petersburg, 30 years prior.
“I remember having a crush on a girl named Amy in preschool,” Pounders said.
On her interview with People Magazine, Amy said: “I joked to him, ‘Well, it’s not me, so I don’t want to hear about her.”
Upon realizing they were pre-school sweethearts, they asked their parents to dig up some of their preschool photos.
“Justin’s mom found a photo of the two of us together and I just started crying, I was ecstatic. I was the Amy he had liked all those years ago. It was definitely meant to be,” Amy revealed.
According to Justin, her late fiancee Adrienne was their guardian angel who is responsible for their reunion.
The couple got married Friday in St. Petersburg at the Mahaffey Theater. Michelle Collins, a former host on The View served as the officiant.
“I consider myself lucky to find you both times,” Pounders told his wife at the ceremony.
“I love you so much and thank you for making me your wife,” she said as they exchanged vows.
