A 23-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman’s wedding in China caught the attention of online netizens who are questioning the authenticity of the pair’s romance.
The couple got married Qionghai, Hainan Province, on Jan. 9 and netizens can’t hold back themselves, questioning the marriage of the 23-year-old man and 38-year-old woman.
According to ETtoday, the young man took full responsibility when the woman got pregnant, and ultimately proposed to her.
The bride is just one year younger than the man’s mother and already has a 14-year-old son. At first, groom’s parents objected to their marriage, but finally agreed when the bride slammed them 660,000 yuan ($100,000) in cold hard cash, a real estate lot and a Ferrari sports car estimated at 5,000,000 yuan ($784,000), SETN noted.
In the viral video, the couple can be seen riding the sports car as they waved to guests. The bride adorned herself with golden necklaces, bracelets, and rings.
Meanwhile, netizens were divided on the reality of their love, with many pointing out that the groom only married the woman in the name of wealth.
